It definitely helped, but there was a lot of focus on topics that weren't on the exam, and many questions on the exam that were not even touched by this reference. It is a good reference, however, do not rely on it alone.
Also, the newest edition was just released. Before that, the previous edition was from about 2009 (if I remember correctly). Too much changes in 7 years. It would be nice for the editions to be updated every 3-5 years.
