Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard This is the same DVD image I downloaded here: except converted to ISO format and compressed with WinRAR. The problem I was having with the dmg I downloaded from the url above was it wouldn't boot in my iBook G4. Converting it to ISO format (using PowerISO) then burning it to a double-layer DVD worked for me. My iBook didn't spit it out and (when holding down the C key upon boot) booted from the damn DVD. Hopefully this will save some people a couple of DL-DVD coasters. Something to keep in mind, always burn using the lowest possible write speed. Your DVDs will come out better.

I got a mac powerbook g4 to play with. For 6 months now, I've been unable to load anything on it. It was wiped or no OS is on it.
Either way, I did what Joarc suggested. I have XP, DL'd the file, unzipped it, burned it to a DL disc using Iso Image, Popped it in the PB G4, nada. It doesn't make sense because the burn has EXE files and I thought those don't work on MAC's. Again, sorry if i'm mac stupid but this is why I would never get one. I'm personally rather fluent with Macs, but having an issue with helping my friend out upgrading his archaic Mac Mini to 10.5. I followed these instructions and succeeded in burning the DL-DVD. However whenever I place the DL-DVD in his Mac Mini, it spits it right out. From what I understand, his old combo drive should still be able to read the Dual-Layer. I don't understand why it would just not accept it.
